Origins & Concept
El Barco was born from a love of authentic Mexican cuisine and a desire to bring a fresh and festive dining experience to Boston. The concept focuses on “Mexican Soul Food” - authentic, flavorful dishes that go beyond basic Mexican restaurant offerings. While this location operates as a pop-up, El Barco also has a permanent location in Vineyard Haven on Martha’s Vineyard.
The temporary nature of the Back Bay location adds to its appeal - as they say themselves, “Get it while you can!”

opens today 4/18!!! these margs, tacos, and churros are legittt 😮💨 my faves were the quesabirria taco, shrimp tacos, elote, & churros!
